Privacy Policy
The short version.
- A parent or guardian gives us information about their athlete so we can build the athlete's report.
- We use it to research schools, deliver the report and, only if you ask, introduce your athlete to coaches you choose.
- We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
1. Who we are
This policy explains how Wittie Consulting, LLC, doing business as College Cheer Compass ("we," "us"), handles personal information collected through our website, intake form and Services. Contact: louiswitsiepe@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
From you, the parent or guardian
- Contact details: your name, email, optional phone number, home city and state of residence.
- About your athlete: name, graduation year, high school, academic information (GPA, test scores, coursework), cheer experience and skills, position and height, college preferences, priorities and family budget range, and any notes you add.
- Purchases: what you bought and when. Payment card details are collected and processed by our checkout provider; we don't see or store full card numbers.
- Partner applications: name, email, role, organization, social handles and your description of how you'd promote us.
- Messages you send us.
Automatically
- Basic technical data our website host records, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
- If you arrive through a partner link, a referral code is stored in your browser so the partner can be credited. We don't use advertising trackers.
3. Children's privacy
Our Services are directed to parents and guardians, not children. We ask that only a parent or guardian complete the intake and make purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information directly, contact us and we'll delete it. Information about a minor athlete that a parent or guardian provides is used only as described in this policy.
4. How we use information
- To research colleges and build, deliver and update your report.
- To send you your report, answer questions and provide customer support.
- If you choose coach introductions: to prepare an athlete profile you approve and send it only to the coaches you select.
- To process payments, refunds and partner commissions.
- To improve our research and Services, including using de-identified or aggregated information.
- To comply with law and protect our rights.
5. How we share information
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the business under confidentiality obligations, such as our website host, form-delivery service, email provider, and checkout and payouts provider.
- With coaches you choose, and only the athlete profile you approve, if you request coach introductions.
- With partners, in limited form: a partner who referred you may see that a referred sale occurred and its amount, not your name or your athlete's information.
- For legal reasons, such as complying with a subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale, subject to this policy.
6. How long we keep information
We keep intake and report information while you're a customer and for up to 3 years after your athlete's graduation year, so we can provide refreshes and answer questions, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. We keep transaction records as long as tax and accounting law requires.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including limiting access to the people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. Your choices and rights
- You can ask us to give you a copy of, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you or your athlete.
- You can opt out of marketing emails any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We'll honor requests we're required to honor and won't discriminate against you for making one.
To make a request, email louiswitsiepe@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
9. Changes
We'll post any changes to this policy here with a new effective date, and notify customers of material changes by email.
